You can simplify your charitable giving by establishing a donor-advised fund at Calvary Hospital. This charitable vehicle enables you to qualify for an immediate tax deduction.
What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you, and allows you to recommend grants to charities of your choice over time.

How do I give through a donor-advised fund?

Recommend a DAF through your financial institution or foundationIf you currently have a donor-advised fund through Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon Charitable, use the DAF Direct widget on this page.

Contact your fund manager about supporting Calvary Hospital

Call your financial advisor and recommend a charity that you would like to support, such as Calvary Hospital, and how much the grant should be.

The grant will arrive at Calvary Hospital, or another charity you name, with only the fund’s name and address on it unless you request otherwise.*

The fund manager will send a check directly to Calvary Hospital, or another charity you name, from your fund. Please meet with legal counsel and/or tax advisors for more information and to determine if giving through your donor-advised fund is right for you.

Giving to Calvary Hospital from your donor-advised fund is easy:

  1. Contact your fund manager and recommend a grant to Calvary Hospital
  2. They will send a check directly to Calvary Hospital, or another charity that you name, from your fund. Our Federal Identification Number (EIN) is Calvary Hospital tax ID: 13-1740274
  3. You can also recommend a gift to Calvary Hospital using our online DAF tool on this page

The grant will arrive at Calvary Hospital with only the fund’s name and address on it unless you request otherwise. Please request that your name and address is included. To confirm that your grant is sent please inform The Calvary Fund at 718-518-2000, ext. 2077 of your gift, so that you can be recognized for your generosity.
